Rocking the Pain Away

Sydney came into the kitchen via the playroom and shut the pantry door so she didn't run into. She didn't know that Saul was in the pantry (arranging Hishey Kisseys) and pushed him down and into the pantry. Saul was upset by this as he hit his head on the pantry shelf. So Sydney being the kind sister forced, I mean offered to rock the pain away in the rocking chair. I caught them like this. Sydney was saying, "it's okay buddy, we'll just rock the pain away." Gotta love sibling love!

Donations

I just wanted to write a quick note to let you know that I'm currently taking donations for an American Girl doll. Auntie Amanda got Sydney on some mailing list that she now gets the American Girl doll catalog. Sydney spent the evening thumbing through the catalog marking which ones she would like Santa to bring her. She even wrote, "Santa I want this" on several pieces of paper and marked in the catalog. I'm not sure if you are up on American Girl but a doll goes for a whopping $95! So if this "Santa" is going to make that Christmas wish come true I'm going to have to start saving now!

*Note - This catalog even has Sydney size clothes so that the doll and kid can match! Oh my!

Keeper of the Kisses

Auntie Amanda left a nice bag of brightly colored Hershey Kisses from her visit. Saul has found them and become the keeper of the kisses. I'm sure he asks me at least 10 times a day if he can have a "Hishey Kissey". I only let him have one a day so he takes the next one out and puts it in his special spot in the pantry so it's easily accessible the next time Mommy says, "yes". He's even taken it upon himself to make sure Sydney and Daddy's "kisses" are ready for the "yes" from Mom. The Blue ones are for him, the pink ones are for Syd and the silver ones are for Daddy.

So if you need a "hishey kissey" you can always ask Saul! He'll pick you the perfect one!

Auntie and Uncle

As most of you know Auntie Amanda and Uncle Michael came for a visit. Here are some pictures from the fun. Auntie Amanda was very busy teaching the kids to online shop, all about Disney.com, reading, and playing barbies. We were sad to see them go, but look forward to seeing them again in May!

Uncle Michael was here for less than 24 hours but he still managed to spoil us with Pigs in the Blankets

Port Gamble Caching!

Since it is Matt's last weekend of freedom until April and we had a semi-sunny day today, (It started out sunny and clouded up while we were out) we decided to go check out the sites by geocaching in a small little town called Port Gamble. We found 3 caches and the kids each ended up with a new marble and other random toys. It was a great day to be out.

Cache #3 -Down a trail and guarded by a Moose Minion

Cache #2 - just in the woods bordering a grassy park

Cache #1 - We had to find certain headstones in this cemetery to find the correct coordinates for the cache that ended up being inside a split tree.

Happy Valentine's Day

Sydney thought making the boys a cake would be a great way to show them we love them. I think she will make a great wife someday if she's already got that figured out. While the boys were out on errands me and Syd made this brownie with sprinkles cake. When the boys got home they showered us with flowers and chocolate. According to Matt Saul made sure Sydney got a purple rose because he knows she likes that color!

Great Wolf Lodge

We had a very fun time last weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge. They had a big indoor waterpark, cub club for little kids, arcade, and a teen center, just to name a few of the parts of the resort. The kids got to sleep in bunk beds for the first time and were excited to go to bed. They had a hard time sleeping once they were in bed, but that's what vacations are all about. The first night Saul ended up "sleeping" with us because he didn't sleep much. I think I only missed the 5 and 6 hours on the clock the first night. The second night he finally tuckered out at 9:30 and got up for the day at 9:30 the next morning.

There was a Cabela's store right on the highway so Matt got to stop there and do a little shopping too.

It was great family fun.

The photography isn't the best. I forgot my camera so I bought a disposable one and I kept forgetting to turn the flash on.
