Elefun -

The kids got a game called Elefun for Christmas. Basically there is fan in the bottom and it blows little "butterflies" up the trunk and the kids have to catch them in a net. The kids think it is great fun! Here is some footage of that.

Fort M.A.S.S.

We have an official lookout post - with secret tunnel included. We had perfect snow fort making weather this morning so we took advantage of it.

The Manions got the kids fun bed decorations for Christmas. Sydney has been bugging me to decorate her bed and Auntie and Uncle came through for them. It looks pretty good!

Busy Weekend

We had a very busy weekend at this house. It started with two nights of Drama (for real this time, not just the stuff that takes place in our house). Sydney was in the Christmas show at church, "Finally home for Christmas" and she loved every minute of it. I did forget my camera, both nights, but I got a pic after it was over and she was hopped up on gingerbread house/red decorater sugar. Matt also got our bath tub fixed. It had a slow leak that turned into a little bit faster leak. The temperature outside got colder and froze the drops as they dripped down all the way into our tub. We had our very own ice rink. So after a few trips to the hardware store he got it fixed and it leaks no more.

We finished off our weekend by getting a Christmas tree and decorating for Christmas. We always have good intentions of going out to cut our own tree down, but again this year opted for the pre cut one. Saul fell asleep in the car and so carrying him in the cold turned our heads to the trees already cut. They had the $50 trees nearest the parking lot so by the time we made our rounds and got to the $15 trees the kids were ready to pick one. I think they were excited and cold and ready to get it home. The kids both agreed on this one so in the trunk it went. I don't think I've ever seen such a short "chubby" (as Sydney calls it) tree. They both liked the idea that it was big on the bottom so lots of presents could fit under it!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Concert

We attended our first Spa Christian School Christmas Program. This was the first year that preschoolers participated and they didn't do much singing, but they did remember to do some hand motions. The girl standing next to Saul is named Bella. She is to Saul like Jeremiah was to Sydney back in WA. Peas in a pod. I think he forgot to sing because he was to busy trying to hold her hand. He also went up to her and told her she was beautiful. It was a great program.

SNOW DAY!

Sydney isn't going to let a little snow stop her from taking her babies on a walk. She's going to be a great Mom day someday!

Can you count how many babies there are?

Our First Snow!

It finally came. I knew it was a matter of time and I have to admit I was glad it waited as long as it did. The kids on the other hand have been wishing for snow since we moved here. It was the big selling point to them when we were moving. Unfortunately, we were driving in it and didn't get home until late so they had to wait until morning to go and enjoy it. We made snowmen and snowballs and a few angels too. The great part is that Saul wasn't trying to take off his mittens. Last year in the little snow we got he would take off his mittens so his little hands were very cold and we had to go in. This year I'm just trying to keep him from eating the snow. He tells me if he eats the snow and then drinks hot chocolate it will melt the snow. I just tell him not to eat the yellow snow!
