Beauty Patches

We were reading about fashion from about 200 years ago in History last week. The book talked about beauty patches. Apparently people back in the day put these on their face to cover pimples or scars. Then it became a fashion statement. Sydney made a kitty beauty patch and Saul made a poke'mon patch. The flour and water paste we made to stick them to their faces worked quite well and made it painful to remove, unless, of course you douce it in a bunch of water. Matt decided to spray her face with a water bottle...I'm sure you can imagine what that looked like. :)

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

We decided to have a little party for Dr. Seuss. He was a little tied up so he wasn't able to come, but I had four kids and a kitty that didn't mind taking his place as the birthday boy!

Monday Night Fish Fry -

Saul came into the kitchen yesterday and told me how bored he was so I put him to work. As you can see from the pictures I don't think he minded. I don't like getting my fingers all "fishy" but Saul LOVED it. I wish you could hear his little giggle. Not only is he a master fish breader he inhaled a whole fillet and half of Sydney's at dinner. I do have to say it was some pretty good tilapia.

I told him flour first (just a light dusting) as you can see he lightly dusted the countertop as he flopped down the first piece of fish.

Adventures of Simon

I'm not even going to try and catch the blog up from where I last posted. I'm just going to start with the latest. Simon has been with us for about 3 weeks now. Here are a few pics of our curious little kitty. It almost like having a toddler in the house again. Except I can leave this toddler home alone!
